A dice game for 2 or more players with six dice. It's the game Farkle grew out of, and many families still play it under this name with their own house rules.
Your turn
- Roll all six dice and set aside at least one scoring die or combination.
- Keep rolling the dice you have left to build your turn total, or stop and add it to your score.
- If a roll doesn't score anything, your turn ends and you lose the points from this turn.
- If all six dice have scored, pick them all up and keep going.
Scoring
| Each 1 | 100 |
| Each 5 | 50 |
| Three 1s | 1,000 |
| Three of any other number | number × 100 |
| Straight 1 through 6 | 1,500 |
| Three pairs | 1,500 |
Many tables also count four, five and six of a kind as 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000.
Getting started
A lot of groups require a minimum turn, often 350 or 500, before your first points count.
Winning
The first player to 10,000 starts the final round. Everyone else gets one more turn to pass them.
