The classic acting game for 4 or more players in two teams. Act out a word or phrase without speaking while your team races the clock to guess it.
Setup
- Split into two teams. Deal & Tally can show the prompts, or you can write your own on slips of paper.
A turn
- One player acts while their own team guesses. The actor can't talk, mouth words, or point at things in the room that give it away.
- Each prompt guessed in time is 1 point for the team.
- Turns alternate between teams, and each team's players take turns acting.
Classic signals
| Number of words | hold up that many fingers |
| Which word you're acting | hold up fingers again |
| Number of syllables | fingers on your forearm |
| Sounds like | tug your earlobe |
| Getting close | wave them on |
Ways to play
- Speed charades: act out as many prompts as you can before time runs out.
- Classic: one prompt per turn. Get it in time for the point.
Winning
The team with the most points after everyone has had their turns wins.
