How to play Rummikub

Rummikub is a tile game for 2 to 4 players that plays like rummy. This page is a free score tracker and a quick guide to scoring. Your box has the full official rules.

A game in short

  • Each player draws 14 tiles. Your first play has to be sets and runs worth at least 30 points.
  • After that, add to anything on the table and rearrange it however you like, as long as every group is still a valid set or run.
  • If you can't play, draw a tile. The game ends when someone plays their last tile and calls "Rummikub!"

If the pool runs out

If nobody can go out, the player with the lowest rack total wins the game. Everyone else loses the difference between their rack and the winner's, and the winner gains it all. Check "Nobody went out" in the score tracker for this.

Winning

The official rules play one game per player. The player who won the most games wins. If that's tied, the highest total score wins.
